Andy Forsyth (E-mail) (View Projects)
Mr. Forsyth over 30 years of experience in the transportation industry, with nearly 30 years in transportation, including 11 years as a transportation director for North Penn School District transporting over 14,000 students. His areas of expertise are student transportation routing and scheduling, computerized routing and demographic/boundary planning, and school transportation operations management. He also has extensive experience in fleet maintenance, school bus equipment specifications, driver and student safety and training programs, and budget planning and control. Mr. Forsyth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Philadelphia University. A recognized expert in student transportation, he has conducted numerous presentations to industry groups, and has written extensively on fleet management and student transportation subjects. He has written a number of articles in student transportation for School Transportation News and American School and University Magazine on performance measurement in transportation operations.

Tim Ammon (E-mail) (View Projects)
Tim Ammon has extensive experience in system implementation and use and evaluating bus routes and schedules. He has analyzed all aspects of transportation and fleet management operations and has assisted in the specification and implementation of transportation software applications. Tim has frequently presented to industry conferences on a wide range of topics performance measurement, cost control, and operations management. Mr. Ammon developed highly regarded statewide performance benchmarking reports for the States of Pennsylvania and Michigan. Tim holds an undergraduate degree in History and Education, and a Master of Public Administration degree (MPA) in Urban Management from American University.

Tom Platt (E-mail) (View Projects)
Mr. Platt has 20 years of progressive experience in transportation and operations management in the military, business, and as a consultant. This includes the past nine years as a transportation and fleet management consultant. He has worked extensively with large and small school districts and state and municipal fleet operations, primarily in the areas of operations management, strategic and tactical business planning, supply management and logistics, and performance measurement and benchmarking. Over his consulting career, he has made numerous presentations at industry conferences and has published articles in industry trade journals. Mr. Platt holds an undergraduate degree in transportation, and a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) in transportation, distribution, and operations management from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.

Phil McConnell (E-mail) (View Projects)
With over 30 years of school operations and consulting experience, Phil McConnell has extensive knowledge of school support services including transportation and fleet maintenance operations. Phil was the Director of Facilities and Systems for the Ann Arbor Public Schools which included the direct oversight and capital budget management of the District’s 130 bus transportation and fleet maintenance operation. Phil’s experience includes procurement of assets and services, project and construction management, negotiations and labor contract management for over 200 employees. Phil’s experience as a consultant includes direct work with both large and small student transportation operations with a focus on performance measurement, identification of operational improvements, and policy refinement. His education includes course work and the completion of a management training program at Cleary College in Ypsilanti Michigan.

Jeff Viar is an associate with MPS. Jeff was previously the Director of Transportation for Brandywine School District in Wilmington, Delaware. While at Brandywine, Jeff was an experienced user of Trapeze’s MapNet software for purposes of transportation and boundary planning. Jeff has served in various capacities throughout transportation operations for the last 20 years including driver trainer, mechanic assistant, assistant manager and manager of operations. Jeff possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resource Management from Wilmington College.

John Matthews (E-mail) (View Projects)
John has over 30 years of leadership and management experience in the pupil transportation industry. As a college student, John began as a school bus driver and dedicated his studies and career to the school bus industry. He retired recently as director of transportation for Montgomery County Public Schools in Rockville Maryland, the sixth largest public owned fleet in the nation with nearly 1,300 buses transporting 96,000 students. During his career, he moved through the ranks occupying a variety of management positions in Montgomery County's Department of Transportation. He has extensive experience in all aspects of the pupil transportation field and spent the last 11 years of his career as the assistant director and director of the department. John authored several articles which appeared in trade publications on Seat Belts on School Buses, School Site and Driveway Design Issues, and School Bell Times and Sleep Studies. He was featured on the cover of School Bus Fleet Magazine in June 2008 which highlighted his Department's Customer Delight initiatives. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Maryland and has graduate work in transportation and psychology.
